ACID / CLOCK
Track 2 starts with ACID. EDIT: CUTOFF, RESONANCE, ENV MOD, DECAY. Overlapping notes slide; velocity 112 or higher accents. Press SEQ repeatedly: DELAY, REVERB, MOD, PLAY ALONG, CLOCK, then ACID settings when ACID is selected.
CLOCK: K1 global BPM (30–300), K2 LOOPS/BALLSY/BRICKLAYER, K3 FREE/SYNC, K4 subdivision. Each target on each track is independent; FREE is the default. SHIFT+K4 chooses loop fit length, 1–64 bars. Loop subdivision OFF follows tempo without snapping notes. ACID settings: K1 waveform, K2 accent strength, K3 slide milliseconds, K4 drive.
Clock and ACID settings are saved in sessions and snapshots. Old ANIMA sounds become ACID and cannot retain their original timbre. External clock is not enabled.
DROPLETS
Track 3: short clicks, water drops and pitched ringing. A particle engine with a field of tiny, trembling points that responds to the sound.
RYUJI / FRACT
Track 6: RYUJI. Six kits, sixteen original percussion samples per kit, one per white key. From left: KICK, SUB, SNARE, CLAP, HAT, OPEN HAT, RIM, TOM, CLICK, ZAP, METAL, SHARD, NOISE, BLOP, TICK, CRUNCH. Scale does not change the drum map. OCT transposes the whole track; BALLSY octave controls its register. MIDI notes 48–63 select these pads.
Track 4: FRACT. BLIPS, PACKET, LOGIC, BUFFER, GLASS and STATIC. EDIT macros: COLOR, GRAINS, RATE, SCATTER. GRAINS left: reverse grains; right: forward grains; center: dry. RYUJI macros: STRUCTURE, DAMPING, BRIGHTNESS, POSITION. Custom ADSR sustains the sample body for long attacks and releases. Preset 1: KANAGAWA.
Sounds and presets
SHIFT + PRESETS browses families. HOME draws a new sound; SHIFT + HOME keeps its family. SHIFT + ARP opens the preset list. Turn PRESETS and tap ARP or SAVE to load. RYUJI and FRACT each have 24 editable factory defaults. Saved presets override these defaults.
Save a SESSION for the complete sound, including ADSR and effects. Individual sound presets store the seed and macros; custom ADSR belongs to sessions. This version uses separate memory from the earlier browser prototype.
Play and shape
The upper six buttons select tracks. PRESETS selects the sound engine. HOME draws another sound; SHIFT + HOME stays in its family. SELECT adjusts track level; ALGORITHM adjusts pan. Drag knobs up/down, use the wheel, or focus one and press ↑/↓.
Tap black key 10 for EDIT: the knobs become the engine's macros. Tap black key 9 for ADSR. Computer Shift holds the FM1's rightmost black key; “Hold SHIFT” keeps it down for mouse gestures.
Free loops and speed
REC arms recording. Play notes, then REC closes the loop. Record again to layer another loop of any length. PLAY/STOP controls the selected track; hold it for the global action.
With a recorded loop, black key 7 or 8 opens LOOP SPEED. K1 adjusts the track, K2 selects a loop, K3 adjusts that loop. Selecting a track returns to the main screen.
FILTER, GRAINS and generators
In EDIT OFF, SHIFT + KNOB 1 opens FILTER: K1 cutoff, K2 resonance, K3 DJ/low-pass/high-pass/band-pass. SHIFT + K1 returns. SHIFT + K3 retains distortion, SHIFT + K4 delay send.
On the normal effects controls, hold SHIFT and turn KNOB 2. GRAINS exposes SIZE, DENSITY, SCATTER and FEEDBACK. Zero preserves the original parameter. Select a track to return; turn normal KNOB 2 away from zero to hear the effect.
SHIFT + black key 9: BRICKLAYER. SHIFT + black key 10: BALLSY. SEQ cycles the original pages, including modulation and PLAY ALONG.
Memory and keyboard
SAVE uses TONITOR's session workflow. Saved flash memory stays in this browser. Export/import keeps a complete local backup. Unsaved performance state is not restored after a reload.
